Goodbye Robby!

Written by Bilsky at 11:49 21/8-2017

Robert Ghidarcea has returned home and signed for Fighting today for 200k.

Since he arrived Robby has been the team leader and one of the best riders ever at Bilsky. In a recent interview with the local newspaper, The Chester Chronicle, Robby talked to us about his time with Bilsky.

INTERVIEWER: Hi Robby, why did you decide to leave Bilsky?

ROBBY: It was a difficult decision for me. At Bilsky I am the leader who has a team built around me. At Fighting Costel is there and could force me to become a support rider. However, for me, I just wanted a return home to live near my family again and to enjoy some good nights around old pals.

INT: How would you summarise your career at Bilsky?

ROB: It's been mixed..... When I came here I dreamt of wins in tours and big classics. Obviously this hasn't happened but I have had some good one day wins along the way. The best was winning the Draguignan - Gorges du Verdon France classic and taking a trophy for the team.

INT: What are your plans for the future at Fighting?

ROB: I still need to speak with Buciu and how he is going to use me. I dream of helping guide Costel to big things... maybe Norway tour! I hope we can race against Bilsky in tours and race against the new guys like Ian and Costantijn. This would be beautiful for me to race against my old team mates at the top level.

INT: Do you have anything to add Robby?

ROB: I would just like to thank the fans of Bilsky for supporting me all the way. I also want to mention Nick (Bouwens) who has been my best mate and right hand man in the mountains over the years. He has been there when I was suffering most. The staff have also been great to work with and have taught me great things. Now I am able to drive the team bus!

INT: Thanks for the interview ROBBY!! We might see you return as a bus driver one day!
